    WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU:
    • people with a basic Java knowledge
    • familiar with Bukkit and its respective API
    • dedicated developers that want to further their experiences
    • people over the age of 14 that are good at English (unlike Lew_)
    • hard-working, low-experienced developers that just want to stop, listen, and collaborate

Is there any way I could start learning the basics?

I really don't know anything. But I'm sure I could pick it up just by listening. I'd consider myself, pretty good at Englishing. I'm only 12, but I'd love to start. Coding has always been a tool I wanted to pick up as it might come handy in the future.

    I hope I could start. ;/

I wrote a guide that is pinned at the top of the programming section on Spigot in regards to programming resources. You can find that here:
    https://www.spigotmc.org/threads/guide-yea-yea-you-want-to-learn-java-we-know-here-is-how.71408/

In general, it does not teach you how to write spigot plugins. However, learning to write spigot plugins after learning to code is literally like learning to drive a different type of car after learning to drive. Once you know where everything is you're good to go. Note: you'll need to sign up to spigot forums to view that link.
