All you SMP players, you are probably fans of mining. Lets share our epic stories, our gear, and our overall strategy! So... Uhh.. I fall in lava... a lot.... while strip mining, and I come out with a full 10 hearts... yeah. I use Incomp's pick (Eff8, Unb5?, Silk) for strip mining and ore collection, and use a maxed fortune pick (Eff5, Unb3, Fortune3) to collect lots of shiny shiny diamonds :>. I mine on Y:12 just because you can find every ore there, including lava, my favorite of all time.... pls no anyway yeah! Share your thoughts and tips about mining, because I could use some. Nether: The nether is pretty great for mcmmo, besides the adequate amounts of lava, which by now, after reading this far into the thread, you know I treasure lava with all my heart. Lots of quartz, and netherrack is pretty nice too, although equivalent to stone in how much mining XP it gives. It also makes a nice block with some process (Nether brick). End: The end hasn't been unlocked in noble craft. The second it is, we can all see how damaged it will be. Players will fall to the elder dragon and cry about it, but mcmmo grinding will be so damn hype! Enter pearls would also be nice..... P.S. IF the end is ever added, please disable the dragon egg. Pleeeeaseee!!! ;-;
When i start out I try to find a place where it is naturally generated so i don't have to do much work. when i do that i fortify it and make sure it is not close to the mobs so i wont die. after that I organize and figure out what I have to work with. if i got enough wood good but. if i didn't well thats bad. Even though i can work with what i have the time I have for survival. Sometimes I stumble across dungeons. I really hate it when there skelly spawners. you still can use the advantage about 1 second intill the skeletons shoot again. You Can take that second to pounce on him or do something else. at that point the End isint so hard. At that point you have survived enough to go to the end. The ender dragon is hard but if you take into consideration of what he can't do then its a walk in the park. The ender dragon is programed to hit you but not 100% of the time. You have to time your movement if you don't want to get hit. Take into fact that it takes the ender dragon about 5 seconds to even think about attacking you. The ender dragon usually falls back and goes for the "healing crystals" that surround the island. there your first problem before you take them on. if you use beds in the end when you try to sleep they will explode. that is something to take into fact because the ender dragon can't move off course when it is about 10 blocks away. Also when you shoot or destroy the ender dragons healing crystals, it will damage him and decreasing his health about 1/16 of his full bar. As soon as everything is destroyed then you can go and melee the ugly thing. Hand to hand is easy as long as you came prepared. I remember when i was 8 and my 13 year old friend teleported me to the end with only leather. this was when i couldn't fight making it hard for me to Destroy. it took me half an hour to kill the ender dragon.
