Reading through the rules, again, and I was interested in this.

This is a list of words that are allowed, but not when used offensively, towards other people, things or the network. Note that other words not in this list can be seen as offensive too:

      • Hell
      • Damn
      • Dumb
      • Stupid
      • Gay
      • Bisexual
      • Lesbian
      • Retard
      • Crap
      • Douche
      • *** <-- A$$
      • Pissed
      • Nuts
      • Balls
      • Suck
      • Cracker
      • Freaking
Alright, here is my problem with most of these words.
Hell- Mostly a place where people who do bad things go after passing. It's commonly referred to as the Nether in minecraft, but you never know. Just call it the nether and just completely block out hell.

Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual- There's no reason to use these words and NOT use it offensively. If someone says gay, they are passing "a secret message" with that one little immature meaning.

Douche- It's not a bad word, or even close to one. However, there's no reason to use it normally without using it to be rude to another player.

Freaking- Substitute words to the abbreviation "wtf" aren't allowed, obviously. Freaking, sure, it's an innocent word on its own. That movie last night freaking scared me!. However, it could easily slide into being counted as vulgar.

If this is deemed as inappropriate by staff, please tell me and/or lock the thread. Just a couple suggestions.

You've literally just confirmed why these words aren't offensive, but can be. Saying "Damnit" isn't bad, nor is saying "Fudge", but saying them in certain contexts or against someone is offensive, so they were put in so people couldn't use these words to be offensive to other people and then claim what they've said doesn't break the rules. Best example is regarding sexuality. Homophobia still exists, so to stop them being put down for something they should be proud of, yet which is commonly used as a slur, they were put here. So it's fine to talk about these subjects, as long as you're not using these words to offend others. Also, Douche has a second meaning you're probably not aware of. Freaking is actually considered an offensive word where I live, momma wouldn't be happy if 10 year old Tom said that, hence it's place on the list.
