So if you don't know, I am from Hawaii, and I hear so many stereotypes across the Internet. I wanted to list 5 of them. (These are in order from dumbest to hardest to believe) 5. The sun shines all day. Obviously, this is a joke, but it's not true. Why it still manages to go around as a stereotype towards Hawaii is beyond me. 4. Anyone who lives in Hawaii is always at the beach. This isn't true, because we still go to school/work. If we surfed/went to the beach all day, we wouldn't have a very good sense of humanity. 3. All people born in Hawaii are considered Hawaiian. This isn't true because obviously, I was born in Hawaii, and I am Japanese/Chinese (another set of stereotypes I won't get in to). In fact, I was born in the same hospital as Obama (BECAUSE OBAMA ISNT FROM KENYA PEOPLE, THATS JUST RACIST). 2. Hawaiians do not speak English. Of course, early native Hawaiians didn't speak English, and even though I am not Hawaiian myself, I have family members and friends who are, and also speak English. 1. Hawaii is always 100°. That's like me saying Boston is always 0° (if you've been looking at the weather on the east coast lately, you'd understand). Basically what I mean is- it happens but it's not too common. Lately, it's been dipping down to high 60°'s, and yes, I know that's still high for most of you, but it's as low as it'll really get.
