This is directly off the Minecraft Wiki, the highest level is the highest you can go to find the ore, and it is rarer than it normally is at the other levels. The highest you can go to commonly find these ores are: Coal 128 Iron 64 Lapis 23 Gold 29 Diamond 12 Redstone 12 Emerald 29 Quartz 126 There are no specific biomes for any ore but emerald. It also only spawns in randomly generated one block areas. Everything is normally spawned in bunches of 3-15, with diamond and redstone spawning at 3-5 and gold at 5-8. Then iron is the same as gold, and coal at 6-15. Feel free to leave a comment if you find any updated content on this subject!
