Before I head off, I want to say some stuff. Not really stuff I wanna get off my chest, but more like things I feel that need to be said. A lot of the things I'm going to say are going to pose as the staff team as a whole... so here goes. All staff members... from helpers to admins... do their job correctly. This means that we follow all set guidelines and our "staff protocol" for dealing with situations on the server. We do not favor players, as that would bring a sense of unfairness to the server. All players are treated as equals, as well as staff members. We are role models and we enforce the rules... but we aren't dictators. If a staff member were to break a rule or go against staff protocol, they would be in trouble just like if an ordinary player were to break a rule. Staff members aren't gods and shouldn't be treated as such. We're just players who are trying to keep peace among Noble Craft. It is requested to be respectful to staff AND players... because we are all equal. When staff punish players, usually in the sense of banning, we get blamed for hating that player due to their many punishments leading up to a ban or something equivalent. Like I said, we follow guidelines. If you use profanity in the chat, we issue a warning. If you do it again, we issue a 1 hour tempmute. After that hour is over, you again use profanity, that means we warn yet again. You continue to use profanity... well you just met level 2: 1 day tempmute. It's literally a pattern that we follow. Of course there are certain offenses that don't require a warning due to what kind of act is being done. These offenses will have us issue tempbans, and are usually where the thoughts of hating come from. Listen, we don't hate anyone on the server. We're giving you warnings about your wrong-doings... you should learn from them to avoid bigger problems. Again, staff is here to keep the peace. I might be gaining some hate from the forums... I'm the most active forum commander on Noble Craft at this time. I deal with reports, accept or deny appeals and disputes, and lock threads that need to be locked. Because I'm a forum commander, it is important that I continue to follow protocol at all times on here and enforce the rules. This is literally the place where people find out if they can be unmuted or unbanned... and the decision is in my hands. There is so much responsibility I now have with this position, so I'm only doing what is right for Noble Craft. I follow the guidelines strictly when responding to all things on here... I can promise you that. I lock threads to avoid issues, by the way. A category where locking is rare... is where I've been locking recent threads. The reason is due to arguments and disagreements that are way out of proportion. There are no guidelines for this... I'm doing what my heart tells me at this point. Do I respond and lock the thread or do I just ignore the issue? I have to use common sense here and think about the community. I'm not trying to be a bad guy... no one is. We're just doing what is best. Alright, I'll end this here. 20 minutes of typing this will hopefully open someone's eyes. I felt like these are some things I wanted to say many times, but just never did. Being a staff member isn't easy... I just want to do what I can for Noble Craft, since I've been here for more than two years. Goodnight. EDIT: I really don't care if there are spelling/grammar errors here. It's late for me and I have school tomorrow, so I'm exhausted and I'm not looking forward to the horrors of the educational system. That's my excuse and I'm sticking with it.
Agreed entirely, totally, and 100%ly. The staff has no favorites, and even their best friends are held liable to the rules. ODSTMASTER3217 is my best friend irl. If I were helper and he kept on griefing someone majorly (which I can guarantee he won't) I still have to temp ban or perm ban him because he is held liable. If KennedyBeast (not picking out the staff member I dislike or see a lot of bad things about, just the first one that popped into mind) was using profanity, I screenshot and report the staff member on the correct forum. The staff does a great job, and it's WAY harderthan you think it is. Dealing with lag issues, developing new features, banning troublemakers, RUNNING AN AMAZING SERVER, it takes serious dedication and commitment to VOLUNTARILY do this. These guys don't get paid. They all spend a ton of time working on this. I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't have some big name YouTubers on this server sometime soon. So yeah, Skkype, i want to thank you for being so dang dedicated to this server, and the whole staff team for the hard work they put into this server just because they want to make others happy. I as well spent a good 15 minutes typing this out, so if people see this and say that this isn't true, take a look at you and anyone else you are defending's warning count and ban/mute record. Maybe then you can realize how annoying you are to staff.
