Ok, so I`m playing on the new 1.8 beta server, I`m rp`ing randomly, and I find this perfect place to build a small village for myself and my brother. I made a few buildings, I wanted to claim them and bam. I can`t. There`s a protection right there, from KnottyZander. Since I discovered a dungeon while mining, I instantly knew it was the end portal(which I confirmed later). Now I don`t know if Knotty is a staff member or not, but I wanna ask kindly if I can recieve ownership of that claim (in case he is a member of the staff). I really like that place, and I got settled in. If the claim would be transfered to me, I promise not to use the end portal or the silverfish spawners, I`ll just seal them away and never touch them again.
I beleive staff like to keep control of the ender portals under control and as true as your word might be they want to keep them incase the end may be released or for other reasons.
There are plenty of other end portals and loads of other awesome places to live you just happened to stumble across my place that i share with my friends it has nothing to do with staff wanting control over it.
Ok then, I just thought it was a place that got protected and abbandoned. It sux to move though when you find a place you really like... P.S: I`ll move, I don`t want to have another player`s protection in the middle of my village, but my bro says he`ll stay.
Ok, so I`m abbandoning this server right now. I`ve just lost my faith and trust in the staff. The end isn`t closed, it`s just a VIP room for you to make xp farms and ender pearls. I got in the portal room and I entered it (the end I mean). I`m just very dissapointed. I really loved this server and it was a pleasure playing here every single time. Good bye.
Exo man chill if ot was a vip room then how did you get it there... Man you need to chill out abit and calm down your getting so freaked over some blocks in a game just move next door or something and stop being mad it's easy to find great places to build so just pick up your stuff and move, don't take it out on staff members!
Actually, on multiple occasions I`ve asked if the end was open or not, and the staff said that it`s closed from the configs.
Listen, I don`t give two blocks about the building spot. If you read my first reply, I agreed to move. It`s just that it`s not fair for the rest of the players. If every end portal is claimed by the staff, and we don`t have access to it, it`s basically monopoly of those resources. In the old world, I found multiple portals claimed by the staff and closed off or destroyed, and the response always was "the end is closed cause of lag", when in reality it was open. And when you invest a year of your life in a server, and month`s pay in donations, that just makes you feel betrayed.
The End on the old Survival was a lot different where we did close it off purposely. However, KnottyZander already said he'd claimed that for no other reason than that he wanted to. He hasn't claimed all the other ones in the world, just the one you came across. The End was closed on purpose on the old Survival as it was a Supporter only world. This has been changed in 1.8 Survival, and it is freely open to anyone who can access it. Also, don't always take word from anyone about something to do with the server unless they're staff or have definitive proof of their claim.
I think it is probably best to just state 1. The end is not closed and is fully accessible 2. If zander wants to claim it then he can 3. If exo wants to leave let him he's missing out on a great experience with great people
Oh man I`ve been looking for this thread for a while. Please just close it, my brother is drunk af and I don`t want him to say anything else that just embarases him. When he`ll get sober, he`ll probably apologize if he`ll have the guts to. And also, he sais he`s done something and signed my name, I don`t know what though. He`s mad at me cause I told him he overeacted. I don`t want to get banned, and I`m sure he doesn`t want to leave the server, he always says how much he loves it.
