The Reset!

    So Skyblock as been reset.. ;( It's a pretty good reset though. They added New Ranks, Mcmmo, and many more. What do you guys think about it? I think it's amazing i'm loving it hahaha. When will the other servers be resetting to?

    As a whole I like it... the market could be easier to find, the new spawn looks nice but it is lacking in substance, rules are missing, the tutorials are weak at best and there should be a sign for the market.

    The market content is appalling, the animal spawning has been turned of so I am told... and the basic materials to play the game are lacking or come at a ridiculous cost. To finish the beginner build challenge (because it can't be done without a trip to the shop) is going to cost you near $12000... this will win you $50 (Goodie!!!)... The point of doing the challenges is to gain items you can't get normally on skyblock, spawn eggs to compensate for the lack of animals spawning is one of the perks, how ever you need to purchase the spawn eggs to complete the challenges to get the spawn eggs... anyone else see the flaw in this logic? It's good to know I can buy all the different flowers in the market, I found skyblock almost impossible to play without flowers.

    Items seriously need looked at in the market... decorative blocks should not cost an arm and a leg. Sure the price for sand is fine... however; glass (since it holds no real necessary value) should be added at a greatly reduced price.

    Also items the market buys should correlate to each other... no thought has been put into this. It should take me as long to grow $100 worth of pumpkins as it does to grow $100 worth of anything else... or farm $100 worth of mob drops or what ever else the market is buying... some items are gained to easily that they hold no value and the market should not buy them at all. And this is just a quick look at the market,. I don't like to use the market for anything on skyblock however I do understand the need for it to make things easier on the server enabling us to turn off some features that hog resources.

    Oh and the ranks are... umm... mostly pointless now. The kits were never accumulative before, you got the rank kit you were and that was it, not sure when that gem got changed but it is nice to see it was corrected again. However the perks you get for ranking up to Noble Member (or whatever it is call now) are not worth the effort to rank up... many of us are never going to rank more than player because we are not interested in the spiffy command perks... sure I have always wanted to be a chicken but... oh wait that was someone else... nope... can't see me ever using any of those perks. Thanks, I'll spend my money on dirt or something useful... maybe basing non purchased ranks on online time might be a better option. I have seen Many complaints about this online, the regular players are not thrilled with the downgrade.

    There is my quick overview on the new skyblock... there are a few glitched that need worked out however I'm sure things will get fixed up after everything else is up and running. My only suggestion is put one staff in charge of the market... someone who knows skyblock inside and out... this is actually a lot of work and difficult but key to keeping the economy in check and the players happy. Most any econ issues with people trying to cheat the system can be solved by tweaking the market... please make this a priority in the future.
