Update A Not So Infinite Update

Hello everyone, sorry for the lack of updates over the past month. The main reason behind this is that I've been having a lot of things going on since around mid-March which has held me back on a lot of things. Anyway, I’ll be posting on everything I plan on doing to the network and what will be going on over the next month and the future of the server.

The Plan for the Network
So as you've noticed, we've lost both Creative and KitPvP and then acquired OP Prison. What we've been doing is redesigning KitPvP from the ground up; new spawn, new kits, more ranks and many new additions. As of right now, we do not have any plans for Creative to return to the network. OP Prison has been a great addition since we brought it in fully as a Noble Craft server.

I have been talking with staff about potential new servers and what we can add. There have been a good amount of ideas thrown back and forth to which we've gotten some solid ideas from. Right now, there’s nothing to say about what these servers will become when they’re released.

UUIDs
In our previous post, we mentioned that we will not support name changing on release of 1.8. Right now, we’re about 90% converted to UUIDs so we’re on track to being fully UUID and name changing supported by the time that 1.8 is released. All inventories, homes, economies and permissions have been fully converted to UUIDs. However, there’s no guarantee to whether or not we’ll be fully ready by the release. If there is no post on the site regarding it, we should be fully ready.

New Addition to the Network
As some of you have probably seen, if you do /help you’ll be presented with a GUI. This GUI has numerous parts to it. You can see the general commands you’re allowed to do, get the link for voting and donating, normal and donator rank perks and eventually a block/item dictionary where it’ll show you the recipes for every possible item in the game. This makes it very easy to get around the server if you’ve forgotten any commands or links. This GUI will become standard on all servers on the network over time so if anyone asks how to do a certain task in game, forward them to the /help command.

Survival Legacy | Infinite
Wait what? Legacy and Infinite? That’s right, we’re changing Survival up! The current Survival server will be staying the same for the most part but will be renamed to “Survival Legacy.” We will be bringing a new server to the network called “Survival Infinite.” This server will be a more hardcore version of our current Survival server. The big difference with this server and how it’s going to be something new to the network; this server will be a PvP server from the get go. We’ll be natively supporting PvP but as with Survival Legacy, it will be a no griefing server. This is the step forward that we’re taking to getting the network where we want it to be. Right now, there is no more information to give right now on Survival Infinite.


Skyblock
As you may have seen, Skyblock has been revamped and redone without an island reset. We’re slowly working on getting the small issues fixed eventually. As far as I was aware at the time, island additions were fixed. As it turns out, I was wrong on this. I’ve been hearing multiple reports that this is still broken. I’ll be trying to get this issue fixed as soon as I can. Right now, there’s not much to talk about for Skyblock except that we’re working on fixing these issues as soon as.

OP Prison
As some of you are probably aware or not but OP Prison does not have a free rank, plots and has a broken economy. We are working to resolve these issues as soon as.

First of all, broken economy. We are planning on doing a full reset on OP Prison very soon to fix this issue. Anybody who has purchased ranks and received money will have that money rectified after the reset with the new and updated amount that you get for the rank you’ve purchased. This means that we will be resetting everyone’s money when we perform this reset. Next up, item prices per mine is going to be changed up and made fairer towards the ranks instead of making it possible for someone of a higher rank giving a lower rank 1 stack worth of items and that person ranking up by about 10 ranks. This has been an issue from day one of OP Prison.

Second, plots. We were not expecting people to reach Z block within the first day; this is something that should not happen on any OP Prison server. Unfortunately, we did not foresee these issues and released far too early. This was a major error on our end in which we should have not released at the time we did. Even so, we still should have released the plots after regardless. This was a fault on my end to which I mentioned in the first paragraph and for that, I apologize.

Lastly, free rank. As mentioned above, we were not expecting Z block to be obtained within the first day and that we released too early. Along with that, we were not certain with what we wanted to have for after Z rank, so we just left it for now. We will have something for after Z rank eventually though.

This May be a Difficult One…
Okay, I didn't think I would put this into the post as it’s still very uncertain at this point, but I feel it’s necessary to let you all know what may potentially happen. So to put it out there, I feel that I don’t suit being the owner of this network any more. Over the past few months, I've let the network slide in quality which is not what I ever wanted. I’d rather not go into the personal reasons as to why I was away except for that I was rushed into hospital on the 14th March and remained there until the 19th March. Outside of that, I've been dealing with other personal issues and such to which I’d rather not discuss. Anyway, what I'm trying to get at is that I may leave and put someone else in my position. I personally don’t feel I can get the network up to the standards I wish I could do and because of this, I've been bringing it downwards over the past few months; just simple things that should have been fixed were not fixed. Again, this is not decided yet. I’ll still be working on the network until the decision is made. I will say that I do enjoy running the network and always will, but I don’t feel that I can create as great of a network for people that someone else could if they were in charge.
