Hello, A lot of you that have been online between last night and now will have likely noticed that issues have arisen on both Survival and Skyblock. To explain it as simply as possible, some kind of malfunction happened on our second machine containing Survival and Skyblock which caused the storage on that machine to completely max out. Due to this, both those servers were unable to read and write data for however long it happened for. During that time, we believe anything that was reading or writing to the drive whilst this issue occurred either corrupted, or were outright wiped. Unfortunately, these files are not recoverable. One particular file on Skyblock was affected by this which controls who owns what islands, meaning we no longer have this data. There are a few options we have come up with to get around this. However, since we were already in discussion as to what we should do with Skyblock, we can just go ahead and do it. Just to let you know though, the world itself was not lost. We still have this world, and may possibly put it up for download for you all. This issue also affected Survival, varying between player data, inventories, ender chests, homes, warps, balances, claim blocks and a multitude of other data. This is due to the nature of our current Survival. However, we have a new system for Survival 2.0 that will not suffer the same issues should this kind of error occur in the future. There will be another post as we get closer to Survival 2.0 and Prison 2.0. We apologise for this inconvenience, but we hope you can understand the predicament we are also in. Until then, what we can tell you is that Survival 2.0 will be on Minecraft 1.10 upon release! Thanks.
I am a little confused on what file you lost, is it the island information kinda? Like the owner settings?
Going by what he stated, basically, everyone has lost ownership of their island, but the islands still exist.
Officially quitting skyblock. Trying not to hate, but this is probably the worst decision in NC history. Extremely mad.
Not trying to be rude, but there was no decision. System malfunctions are never a choice, and the file was just unrecoverable. Yes, we've tried setting it to Wumbo Jumbo.

I'm going to be honest, I think bringing skyblock out was a great idea and here is why. Skyblock was the orginial server and it was a classic. We all had a lot of fun with it. However. I don't think when it returned it was as good. I think we should bring back the old version of skyblock we had an possibly slightly revamp it. I really liked having spleef and the environment was better without everyone competing for air drops and items such as those.

One thing I liked about one of the older skyblocks was the rankup system, where you got more perks as you ranked up, including stuff like /tpa and such. I can agree the airdrop limit was annoying, but the airplanes looked cool.
