(This is a spoiler-ish thing to the small book Seedfolks. It's an amazing book that deals with a community of people of all races and ages. The community is brought together by a little Vietnamese girls who plants Lima Beans in an empty lot filled with garbage to show her dead father that she's his daughter. The father of Kim was a farmer so that's why she planted the beans. Anyways, this short little story is the aftermath of the garden from Kim's point of view) It was August 2016, the sun was beating down on all the gardeners who where tending to their crops. A small Vietnamese girl is crouched over her bright green Lima Green sprouts. She was humming to herself as she watered the plants. She stood up and strolled back over to the barrel with a funnel next to it. Kim set down her green watering can and took a step back to take in the beauty of the community garden. Tears welled up in the corners of her eyes. "We made it." She whispered quietly, "We came so far." She whipped her eye and looked up at the cloudless blue sky. "Are you proud of your daughter? Are you proud of me?" Kim gazed back at the garden, a couple of kids where tending to their corner of the garden. She remembered the cold winter day when she first planted the Lima Beans.
