So I had to write a story for writing class. This is what I developed. It was a dark night, and two unicorns sat on the concrete watching the stars. “Have you heard of Candy Mountain before?” said Wolf. “Yes I have, but isn’t it dangerous? I’ve there are a lot of avalanches.” Wolf stood up and her young energetic spirit came out, “Let’s go to Candy Mountain! There will be gingerbread men and gummy bears and, and there will even be lollipops! Sarah think about it, lollipops everywhere with no grape in them!’ Sarah loved lollipops, but she was scared she would get hurt. However, they agreed. They gathered fries, frozen peaches, and water. They began to walk down the street when they saw a short figure in the distance. It was David. David was ugly because he was a narwhale but he was kind most of the time. David said, “Well why are you guys out, where are you going?”. Wolf looked at him with a snarky expression and said “Who cares, you don’t need to know.” Sarah stopped her and responded with “Candy Mountain.” David knew the stories about candy mountain and that it wasn’t safe and as he began to say “Don’t do tha…” Wolf stopped him. “Sorry we only listen to Shrek and noble.” Wolf galloped off into the night and Sarah followed. They entered the forest. Several years ago the forest had been taken over by surfbrd. He had a weird name and no one really liked him because he had hurt Noble a few years back. The forest was scary and dark. They could smell rotting candy from what used to be a forest of sweets. The whole forest was now just a big pile of trash. They could hear the old owls howling in the forest, they weren’t as wise as they used to be. As soon as they made it out of the forest they began to pick the sticky cotton candy out of their tails. They were tired and were ready to sleep so Sarah recommended the town of Kent. Sarah’s good friend Turnbull built Kent. Wolf didn’t like Turnbull at all but was very tired so she agreed. Sarah knocked on the door when Turn opened the door holding his traditional giant sandwich. “Can we stay the night?” Sarah asked. Turn responded “You guys are so lazy but fine.” They entered the house which was covered in bread and chicken. “Want a sandwich?” Turn asked as Sarah walked into the kitchen. Sarah said “No I don’t, but you know what I do want? Chicken.” Sarah didn’t wait for turns response and got some chicken. She sat down and got on her phone. Sarah received a text from her friend Marsh, “Where are you? We were going to go see Justin Bieber in concert.” Sarah felt bad that she had forgotten, she didn’t respond. As time passed, Turnbull asked why they were on the other side of the forest. Wolf didn’t want to respond. She didn’t want him to call Isiah. Isiah is wolfs brother. Sarah doesn’t like him because he was always really rude too all of her friends. Wolf told him anyways and said “We are going to Candy Mountain.” Turnbull was not happy, he stood up and yelled at Wolf He told Sarah and wolf he was going to call Shrek. Shrek was one of the only people wolf and Sarah listened too. Shrek was their over protective best friend. Wolf cried “Please don’t call Shrek! He won’t let us go!” Sarah said, “Hah Shrek can’t control me”. She and wolf left the house and galloped away. The sun was rising, wolf and Sarah decided they needed somewhere to stay so nobody caught them in the daylight. So they went to a Fairfield Marriot. Wolf and Sarah checked in and sat on the couch. They decided they wanted some food so they went down to the lobby and went to the corner shop. They thought everything was free so of course they went crazy and bought everything. When they were walking away, the man at the front desk caught them. They were arrested for stealing. As they were driving to jail, wolf realized her door was unlocked. They made a run for it. They could see Candy Mountain in the distance, so they kept running until they made it to the bottom. The bottom was beautiful. It was covered in every sweet you could imagine. They began to remove all the lollipops and gum drops and gummy bears. They saw French fry and frozen peach land. They ran towards it. The mountain began to shake, and it began to spew out hot chocolate. Sarah was scared, but knew since she was older she had to act strong for wolf. She didn’t panic. She told wolf to gather all the fries that she could. Wolf saw Sarah wasn’t panicking so she didn’t either. They ran away together. Eventually, they saw the police cars and hopped in. They were taken to the station and Shrek came back to rescue them. The End.
