Greetings, Today I've decided to conduct a little experiment to see the rarity of specific items within Heroic and Rare crates, ofcourse this is not the official percentages as it all depends on luck, but I wanted to see if you're better off selling crates, or opening them. The current prices for crates are roughly Heroic = $900 - $1500 ea Rare = $600 - $1000 ea The best item ( I believe ) you can receive from the crates are Lockbox Vouchers. So I've decided to open 64 Rare and 64 Heroic Crates - My Results are as Follows : Heroic As you can see from my results, I didn't receive anything 'spectacular' such as an Obby Cracker or Uber Shears. 2x Diamond Helmet 2x Diamond Leggings 6x Diamond Boots 5x Majestic Hoes 2x Silk Pickaxes 4x The Hook 1x Swaggy Sword 1x Fooifys Weapon of Choice 12x Enchanted Books (Silk Touch, Efficiency 5, Unbreaking 4, Feather Falling 4 etc) 3x Truth Speakers 2x Incomps Scuba Helmets 5x Lockbox Vouchers 64/5 = 12.8 From my results, I averaged 1 Lockbox Voucher per 12.8 (13) Heroic Crates. Rare My results from Rares, were, well you can see, relatively good, not amazing though. 1x Swaggy Pickaxe 1x Swaggy Sword 27x Fooifly 2x Quick Jump 4x Truth Speaker 1x Foofilys' Whacker 2x Incomp Scuba Helmet 1x Silk Pickaxe 3x Lockbox Voucher 64/3 = 21.3 So roughly 1 Lockbox Voucher per 21 Rare Crates. Hopefully this lets you decide whether or not you want to keep or sell your Crates - Tetrabyte
Tbh, it depends. Stuff in rare crates is good to me mainly because of the lockbox vouchers. I'd love to help with this expirement because I have thousands of rare and heroic crates. If there are a lot of people online, especially new players, sell because the stuff can be OP for new players.

I most likely will be, though with the beta of GH soon to be around the corner I'll need to see if theres anything I can do on there aswell
