Hello everyone, I just thought it’s about time to discuss recent events in the community and the future of Noble Craft. We admit, we are starting to lose touch with the community and this isn’t our intention. At this point you may have no idea what I’m talking about, that Noble Craft is fine, and that you see no issues. This thread announcement isn’t intended for you and the small minority of those who do feel that way. It is important to the entirety of the Leadership team to ensure that every member of the community is treated with respect and high regard. We want a “Noble Craft family”, not just another Minecraft server. We want to do things differently and become a close community. As for what we mean by that, this “Noble Craft family” is a community that helps each other out, is influential in its decisions, and actively plays together as friends. With recent events you may find yourself thinking Noble Craft isn’t all that it seems. However, I can assure you Noble Craft hasn’t changed one bit. I still break stuff (#BlameLew) and Noble still shouts at me for doing it. We are still the Leadership team you know and love and we appreciate and listen to the community and staff alike. Truly, you—the reader—are at the heart our decisions. We make Noble Craft what it is so you can enjoy it. Secondly I want to discuss AceEnigma, our newest Admin. The problem with the staff is that we’ve become lenient, as expressed by our lack of actively monitoring them and not providing them with the necessary training for them to do their jobs. This isn’t fair to them—they need to ask us questions and we can’t always be there to monitor and train them. It also isn’t fair to the players to provide sub-standard staffing as that won't get us our “family” we are desperately working towards. AceEnigma simply did what should of been done a long time ago and tightened up the team. This may of seemed harsh but should of been done from day one. This has caused some people to feel negative towards him. We absolutely love every single member on our staff team and how they are so dedicated and passionate about Noble Craft. We are inspired by them and we hate having to take action against. However, not everyone is fit to be staff, and we would be doing everyone a disservice if we let one bad apple ruin the whole season. Please don’t feel hatred towards AceEnigma. From the bottom of the Leadership team’s heart, you just haven't seen the bubbly and enthusiastic personality he has. He is here to improve your experience; nothing else. So, give him a chance, he had to fix what should of been already done so he looks bad in the public eye. Just wait until he can start bringing changes that look great in not only our eyes, but yours, as well. Lastly, I want to address the recent events and say that they weren’t taken lightly and— hands in the air—could've been handled better. We are striving to improve every day, so we gladly take full responsibility for some actions that aren’t necessarily the best we could have done at the time. Keep in mind that we are human, so we make mistakes! I’m sure we all color outside the lines now and then. We will improve and learn from this and we are reforming the team and our policies to impact our decisions. Before this long, sappy post comes to an end, I would just like to mention we are incredibly short on staff. So, please, if you are thinking of applying but feel there is no point, or have been rejected before, don’t be scared to send in an application! We want to see members of the community become staff, as it makes us feel we are doing something right by seeing our players progress. We love seeing people work their way up in the community, and it’s what we are all about. On a final note, just remember that we are always open to criticism and feedback to better your experience here at Noble Craft. Don’t be scared to talk to us, we are here to help and make you feel listened to! We aren’t bad people and I am personally upset that some view us as just that. All this and no hard mode? I cry now. I would but it felt weird being staff, for me at least. Like... I just like to give ideas, like a creative consultant. But I don't like having to monitor people or give punishments. xD
It's not that I'm scared, heck, I've put more effort in NC applications than any other servers combined (there aren't that many, but you get my point)! It's the fact I've been rejected 17+ times. After all that, do you really think I even want to apply again? If you answered no, you're wrong. Boom, plot twist. If I was being put down by all these denials, I would have stopped at 5, oh who am I kidding. Probably 3. But I keep trying, and maybe I'll never be accepted, I'm fine with that. I need to watch how long I type these responses for, it seems like every single one is turning into a rant.
I would LOVE to apply for any staff rank and help but I am just getting too busy IRL. If I would apply and be accepted, I probably wouldn't get on TS or use Skype... Ever... Unfortunately, it doesn't sound like it would work out... (Unless staff doesnt care about that. Which you probably do ) Ace, KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!! Same to all staff!! Another thing I'd like to add... You guys want people for the Representative to be 13+ years old and Helper 15+. Since there is a need of staff, why not lower that?
Lowering the Age requirment, will just allow less mature people to have staff, which would in turn, slowly hurt the reputation of the server. You dont want 8 year old mods going around banning people
They wouldn't accept eight year old immature people. I've seen a very mature 10 year old make it on this team and never do anything wrong. The age requirement is there for multiple reasons. One of which is because older people tend to be more mature. To add, the people on the apps team make sure they pick the highest quality of applications and applicants to be accepted. So the chances of an eight year old getting in is slim in a sense, too. It's all based off of more than one thing.
