(Edit: Every place that I say auction, insert the word gambling, I'm leaving the original post, but I was passing mental gas when I wrote this. Sorry.) Hi, Dilectus here. I'm new, and hate to introduce myself in this way but I'm having a bit of an issue with the new craze that is sweeping skyblock. We have I think 3 competing "auctions" that have sprung up today, and with the 3 of them constantly advertising, and taking bids in chat it's hard to follow anything else that's going on? I wonder if we can get them to seriously limit their advertising, and hold their little auctions in private message so that it doesn't tie up chat for the whole server? Thanks.
I agree, it definitely can be annoying when reading for the auction you're trying to find. Good point/comment
Is this to do with the auction plugin itself and excessive messages? If so, you are able to use /auc ignore to have auctions not show up unless you disable it.
I believe he is talking about how people advertise the auction they are posting, and constantly repeat it, making it hard for him and other players to actually see the auction at hand. Just my assumption from the post
No, auction wasn't the right word, I am sorry, gambling. They have set up shops on their islands where you go and place a bid with them and depending on the outcome of the push of a button on a redstone contraption you win or lose. then you have to pay them or they pay you. The auction system is running fine, I'm sorry for my miscommunication. Like I said they had 3 of these going at once, constantly advertising them trying to beat out the other, then they were fighting over who had the right to do it and whether or not they could advertise on top of each other, then they would have people on their islands asking them to "place your bid" YOU WON!! All in general chat. It got seriously carried away for a while there. It was much worse than anything I have seen on the auction, but it seems to have quieted down. I tried to edit the topic, but I can't figure out how to do it.
