Well, I keep spawning in on skyblock and falling into the void finding myself not able to do /fly while falling. This should be allowed, considering i'm the second highest rank and I find it ridiculous that this is even a thing! I lost a silk touch pick, depth strider 3 boots, nearly full prot 4 diamond and all my best swords. If this doesn't get fixed I'm quitting NC or just specifically skyblock. I'm not trying to complain, but Atleast enable epearling while falling and /fly ing while falling. I am just sharing my own opinion to the network, and I'm not trying to cause any harm to the staff but I really want this resolved. I work hours and days on this server to find myself falling into the void and losing everything I've accumulated over the time I've played NC Skyblock. Party_Creepers/movingspore, First, my apologies for not being able to talk to you on Survival this evening since there was a lot of craziness going on. Next, Please know that I understand your frustration and I take these strange void glitches seriously. I hate being killed with no explanation. I'm truly sorry about what happened to you. Unfortunately I don't have an answer for you since I'm not involved in the backend functions of the server, nor am I in charge of the plugins. However, I have brought your post to the attention of all of the staff -- including all of the higher staff who are more able to diagnose this. I'm hoping there may be some kind of answer regarding what is going on, as well as some kind of compromise or fix. Thank you for your post and I hope this will not stop you from playing skyblock.
If I could hop in with my opinion- Cyalenzer has kind of warned everyone not to carry stuff around/while logging off. This has gotten me into the habit of storing my gear in my ender chest. Yep, I've lost my max gear twice before, but not in the past week and a half or so. It's hard to get into the habit, especially when you're in a rush to leave. So, always leave room in your echest to store your gear and tools. That's what I would do. With the void glitches, I'd like some more information about that? Are you just dying when you log back in? Or are you like, teleported through the ground into the void? The only way I could think of is a solution for the second one (if that even is the case). When you relog, you get teleported one block higher than you were, so you don't glitch down. However, I still don't know how this infamous void glitch works.
That happened to me 4 times. Overall, I've lost 4 skeleton spawners, a zombie spawners, a diamond block, and 32 hoppers.
With any new rollout of a server, there are bound to be bugs - small ones and big ones. The death of players would certainly fall into the bigger category. The way to work on these issues is to start brainstorming about what could be causing these issues. One thing that Incomp has come up with is the possibility that players are logging out over the void while flying. By doing this they are subjected to falling when they log back into the server because /fly is not enabled until the player turns it on. In the meantime, you login and fall to your death. Incomp will be working on making it so the server allows donators with the /fly perk to arrive in skyblock with their /fly already on. Hopefully this will fix the issue. If not, we will need to gather more information to help find another solution. In the meantime, if you are hearing of players dying, for what seems like no apparent reason, please be sure to have them share their information with staff or on the forums.
It has happened in two different ways; me logging off and not able to do /fly above the void and me just spawning i dead somehow lol
