Why is the Skyblock economy broken you ask? Because Noble has his account linked the market shop. So all the money we gain / loose from the sever market, comes or goes from Noble's money. He is now broke. Basically no money left. So now new players and present players cannot gain money because of the shop's many rip offs for prices on things. So now basically once someone buys something, the money in Noble's account is gone in about ten minutes. (Depending on what time of the day.) This is just terrible for the economy. Not many people are going to waste a ton of money on things just so others can get it instantly, because at this point it's players are saving items to sell, and it'll get to the point where there's no point in playing Skyblock anymore because you have to many items you cannot sell because of the broken economy. It should just go back to the way it was where the economy was free with no one having their account linked with it.

This is a design choice. Also, can we knock it off with the extremes? It's simply not going to get to a point where there's no reason to play, simply because that money is replenished.

I currently own $37,000 of the near $4.5 million available. I'm unsure why people save tons of cash when the server shop doesn't have anything that expensive. I think the most expensive thing is the Dragon Egg at $99,999? Something like that.

Let's see.. of the people whom have posted here..

    CaptainTieDye: $601,182
    Sean21229: $41,262
    CookieLuv_: $1,377
    TonyBoy666: $900

So. Out of this list, you now know who to look at.

    You're welcome.

    I mean, Noble can just
    /Eco set NobleProductions 99999999
But, if he wanted to play legitimately, he would most likely use an alt for that, as a market is a huge part of playing Skyblock, and if he had infinite money, there would be no point.

I do find SilverFoxonmc 's comment hilarious. For this economy to work, it requires fair play and those with money to not keep it and actually spend it, but the one person with over 10% of the entire economy in his pocket is complaining.

I see how this can be seen as an inconvenience or a concern at the moment. This is a new system of economy for the Noble Craft Network. I basically call it, "You get out of it what you put into it."

I have an example of how this isn't too far from Walmart.
For Walmart on Survival Marsh has to stock the store, she needs to have the items and the money to run the store in order for it to stay running. So as Marsh stocks the store players can buy the item from the store. This is the same thing for the Skyblock SeverShop. People have to buy something in order to sell something. If you want the market to work you have to give it money. The people who buy items from the ServerShop are like Marsh. They are stocking the shop with money for a player to sell something to the shop in order to get money. The players who are selling items to the shop are like the buyers of Walmart. Lowering the amount of money to the ServerShop so that eventually no one will be able to sell to it.

Now here are a few solutions/ideas I have thought of:

    • Be careful what you sell to the market. Pace yourself when selling to the market, have the community come together and not just sell all your cobble and make the ServerShop go bankrupt every time someone buys an item.
    • Make a ServerShop like Walmart on Skyblock (I know Cookieluv_ has started up a Walmart). If you don't agree with the server economy, make another one, or a better one in your opinion. If players like it or agree they will go to your shop instead of the ServerShop.
    • Don't use the ServerShop at all and work on making yourself self-sustaining. Do exchanges with players if you need something that you cannot get or is hard to get but another player has.
There are ways to make money without using the ServerShop as well. For instance you can vote, use crate keys and place Airdrop Flares to get money. Maybe not as fast but still getting more money. I do not believe the system is broken, insufficient or wrong. It is a new system and it uses the whole Skyblock community to work together to make it work out. I believe this can be worked out if you are all willing to come up with a plan.

Also, having the economy like this will not ruin Skyblock and make it unplayable/not fun to play. That is an opinion and a choice. The original Skyblock is a little island shaped like an 'L' with essential supplies and a tree. That is it. No shop, no money, no economy, nothing. Just you and a floating island. Over 5 Million people have downloaded that map and have attempted to play. There are hundreds of series on YouTube about vanilla Skyblock. It is a challenge and you are supposed to do what you can to get through hard times or obstacles to finish these challenges with near to nothing.

This is my take on the topic at hand. I hope this clears things up and helps create some ideas on how to get around the problem.

    Have a great day,
    ShrekkAstroNOT

Actually, the Dragon egg is $999,999. I plan on buying it once I have the needed money. How can one or multiple people get the ultimate prizes of SkyBlock (level 1,000 island and Dragon Egg) if it is nearly impossible because of this corrupt economy? And why should players with more money have to spend their hard earned money on the (for the most part) terrible ServerShop prices? It makes no sense.Tom Pearson

It makes no sense for the player with the most money on the server to make a post complaining about not being able to get more money.

From what I've seen, the economy is set with a limited amount of money which should encourage player shops and trades.

If you can't figure out how to make more money without the ServerShop then you're in for a rude awakening from people who do.

Also, the total money increases on chance that people vote and get a money coin.

Long and challenging. I like it.
