Hey everyone, This isn't something I particularly wanted to be posting on here, but unfortunately, this has to be address to you all so you know the situation. If you have been online at all over the last day, you will have noticed that both KitPvP and SkyWars have been down all day. This is not due to the servers crashing, or prolonged maintenance. When we were assigned the dedicated server on June 22nd, it was not registered to my account properly, meaning that after I paid for it from June 22nd, to July 22nd. This was completely normal, however, when the July 22nd date approached, I never received any invoice to pay for the server on that due date. The result of this is that the server ran until August 4th unpaid, and was automatically taken away from us, which resulted in its drives being reformatted. So the result of this does mean we have lost both servers and everything on them. I have the dedicated server back, and I will try to recreate them as close to the original as I possibly can, and as quickly as I can. I understand there was data on each of those servers such as statistics like kills, deaths, wins and losses etc... All I can possibly say to that is that I am sorry about this happening. I know it will not bring those statistics back, but it's the most I can possibly do, given the circumstances. As they were built on completely separate boxes, the builds are intact. As a result of this, I am going to take further action to prevent this sort of issue ever occurring again. I'll keep you all updated on the progress of each server. If you have any suggestions for improvements whilst I am recreating the servers, please post them in the suggestions Forum, and we will take a look at them when we can. I'll try have at least KitPvP done within the next day or so. I know that if you played KitPvP or SkyWars a lot, you will be extremely disappointed in this issue, but had I known it was going to happen, I would have done all I could to make sure it didn't, but this was something none of us saw happening. Once again, all I can say to this is that I am sorry it has occurred. I should have prepared for this kind of occurrence, so please do not blame any of the staff, as they had no involvement in the creation of the servers. On a lighter note, I can say that OP Prison is still coming along well, and should be ready soon. Hopefully the next announcement will be more positive. See you in the next post.
All though all of my beloved items and riches on KitPvP are gone, I'm very happy to see my favorite server on the network is doing well in construction and will be back soon.
Soo.. I hope they will be back soon. However, the data is gone, we can still play thats all I care about. Good luck with the server noble!
Weekly Backups of the servers! I also now have a chance to be the best at KitPVP (definitely wont happen).
I rather have all data lost than lose the server entirely, and who knows maybe someone else will rise up and take the throne.
I finally have a chance to turn my KitPVP life around. No more KD being stupid, we will fight together. without hacks, with liberty, and justice, for all of the pvpers, UNITE. Although I am really sad that my 1.1K Is gone in kitpvp. Seriously, never getting that back
