I have been encountering several bow spammers during my time on kit pvp. In my opinion, they ruin the game. Using a bow for long range is acceptable, just as using a bow occasionally in a fight would be. The issue that I have found is that a player will engage in a 1v1 battle, back up slightly, and then shoot their bow as many times as they can. This method should not be allowed because it defeats the purpose of the game. Kit pvp is supposed to be fun, fair, and entertaining. This method makes the game unfair. If a player wants to win a 1v1, all that they need to do is bow spam.
Sure, bow spammers are very irritating, but.. It IS apart of PvP. I don't like it myself. I don't think there's a way for us to enforce a no bow spamming rule.
^^ Im agreeing with Pabl0tron on this one, its a complete aspect of pvp, Plus, the archers only have chainmail anyway, should be easy to take them out if you sneak past em'!
If you know how to dodge archers, you will have an easy time taking them down, even if they spam fire.
Personally, bow spamming is my desperate tactic to stay alive. I understand it can be challenging, but who doesn't like a challenge? Also, good practice to avoid them.
It'd be very hard and confusing to enforce that rule, imagine all the new players as would do that and get punished for it, it'd not be very fun. Sometimes there's no real meaning to have laws because they'd be broken anyways. In Sweden, the vast majority of people break the law by lighting fireworks on new years eve without a permit. There is no way for the cops to arrest that many people as break the rule and they'd be busy with minor crimes, having to sort them while accidents happen and so many other things as might be more in need of attention. There would be too many people breaking it as staff would be busy attending and watching over people doing that instead of dealing with hackers, players as harasses, etcetera. It's a nice suggestion and I get where you're coming from though~ Have a nice day Mint~
