Trusted, /reset.

This idea is insanely stupid but awesome, I was thinking instead of Lew Or Noble always having to restart the server the would assign a few people that play on the server "daily" for multiple "Hours".

By example;

Noble And Lew are at Minecon, no-one is there to mesure if KitPvP should have a reset or not.
I was thinking Noble and Lew were to make a huge consideration on giving insanely trusted players /restart.

Such as Staff Member's, Trusted's {Must be trusted a lot}.

I agree with just admins or sr. Moderators. Because regular "Trusted" Players could reset whenever they feel like it, I mean I know that they can get punished for doing so, but they could evade punishment by resetting the server.

I do believe admins have access to restart servers.

 

I'd have to agree with penguin. Maybe just admins and Senior Moderators. Trusted players, eh. Maybe. I like this idea.

Those with: Dev, Admin, LT, OR OP; have access to restarting a server, the problem is, only Noble and Lew can bring back up a server if it crashes. KitPvP is known to do this, and that's why it doesn't have an auto restart. Abuse would be high, and there are NO trusted players anyway, so why should there be a command for them? Its like giving a command for those who are permanently banned, it makes no sense. No, I disagree with this, and those who do agree, I hope they find the error in this suggestion.

 

My thoughts on having the command /reset:

• For one thing reset means delete everything and start all over, so the command would have to be renamed to /shutdown or /bringback.
• No player should have this, there is too much that could be abused with this.
• Very trusted Members of staff should have this permission if this should be implemented.

I like the idea of more people having access to being able to restart the server, but I do not think this is the way. Over all I do not believe this would be a good implementation because of the amount of trust that would be needed to have such a command.

 

Just today, plots has been down for over 45 minutes, Staff is coming on with no way to help because they have no permissions, furthermore, backing up the point with more evidence.
Noble and Lew_ can't always be there.

 

You are wrong...The debate is on /restart (server), not whether someone can bring up a server. The reason why its only Owners is because its a powerful command.
/restart brings the server down, and like plots, it can crash, but the evidence you provided doesn't match the debate, so therefore it is invalidated.

 

I see where your point is Acexon, but what Im trying to explain is that it may take up to hours for owners to realize that the server is down, bestowing upon the trusted admins/Sr.Mods the accessibility to restart the server, can really help the players out playing they're favorite gamemode!

 

Restarting the server wouldn't fix the crash. It crashes because they restarted the server.
