Hello, This announcement is mostly tailored towards those of you that have been around for at least over a year in the NC community. Since the release of Survival 2.0, we've seen a boost in old players returning to see how 2.0 works, and if it's any good. Unfortunately, with how older communities tend to be, returning players are typically overrun with nostalgia of their favourite experiences on the old servers, and thus believe that because the new server doesn't have the same people and exact same content as it did back then, the new one is automatically terrible. This is a message to those who believe the above to be true. If you are saying this because you care about the server at all, then what you are doing is not only damaging the server further, but also breaking our rules. If you truly want this server to succeed like it has done in the past, then instead of saying "This server is dead" in front of new players, why don't you actually try it out and interact with the new players that join instead of discouraging them from wanting to stay? Remember the time when you were new to the server? Do you recall returning players constantly complaining about how "NC is dead"? Likely not. More than likely, you remember all the great times we as a community had. Now it is time for those new players to create those memories, but if returning players continue complaining about how "NC is dead", those memories for new players are going to be negative, rather than positive. Then, and only then will NC be what you claim it is now. Whilst it's great to see old players returning, it's not good when those very players only bring negativity with them to new players, rather than sharing with those very players how amazing and rich this community is, and has been in the past, and how they can make it even better now, and for months to come. Is NC as big as it has been before? No, it certainly isn't. But guess what, we've been in this situation many times before, and what did we do? We came back from it, in fact, we bounced right back. This time is no different. Again, yes, things aren't the same now as they weren't before. But the way it was before was also different to how it was a year before that. This server is nothing like it was 4 years ago. So saying how "NC is dead" is not helping make it better. If you have legitimate concerns or issues, then make a thread about it, and outline what is so different that you don't like. Does this apply to everyone returning? Absolutely not. Let's try and actually turn NC into something good, yeah? --
NC may bounce off some walls at times but the community sticks together, I agree with you here: I am actually very pleased to see new players coming back, it just makes my heart happy. Like you said, complaining won't help the server. The server isn't dead at all, although there are new members. I still see players interacting with one another and enjoying their time on here. With all due respect if you think NC is dead then maybe NC isn't for you, we don't need the negativity.
*were I completely agree. It doesn't help, and doing so will not only prevent old players from your memories from coming back, but also discourage new players from staying. Don't dwell in the past. You can keep the old memories and continue to make new ones. The old become the new, and the new will eventually become the old.
I defiantly agree about this although I loved the older days but I of course like to see new players join this amazing server <3
I'm not saying that the server is dead, but you removed almost all the gamemodes, almost all of the things in hub are glitchy, trails/arrow trails were reset so now i have to buy them again (atleast for me), and the item that takes you to the games doesnt even work! The only thing you can really do on the server is play survival 1.0 with your imaginary friends, or survival 2.0 with AFK people. I'm just saying i know at LEAST I would be active on the server if the gamemodes were brought back, like creative. There's just not a lot of stuff to do on that server anymore...
They are remaking Kitpvp and Skyblock. Do not buy them again, Noble said they are going to fix them. Clearly you only come online at the night by the looks of it, it's very lively in the day. Finally, they have been working very hard on remaking the gamemodes and better than they were before. So I wouldn't jump the gun and say the server is dead when you probably don't read the update and announcement threads.
well first all of those are changes that WILL happen, the server isnt so alive currently, and as you know i came on and there was like what 20 people? and of course about 1/4 of them were afk. and is it just me or is that not that lively? unless my memory is wrong there used to be a lot more. also how long have those things in the hub been broken? like a couple of months? Are you seriously trying to prove me wrong by saying 1/4 of your "lively" number of 18 players are afk? and by the way you counted wrong! thats 5! And not only that you apperantly counted wrong on the total player count thats 17. More than 1/4 of those players are afk.
First off, yes they haven't been added yet. Though they have recently added all the perks and shop updates, maybe if you actually played then you would know that it isn't as dead as it seems. It also really doesn't matter if there were only 18 players online at the moment, we have been getting a stem of new player recently. Also no I didn't count wrong, I intentionally did not cross out that one member because they un-afked right after the screenshot was taken.
A few shop updates barely makes it more 'lively'. And with all the new players you've been getting there must be the same amount or more leaving, because it even says in this thread that its gotten smaller. Also that AFK person must've been afk a while before that and im sure someone took is place soon after, and besides he was afk at the time, stretching the truth a little bit, huh? atleast just take another screenshot instead of not crossing it.
I guess in that case we should consult you next time we make an update to make sure it's more than 'A few shop updates'.
