For a few months now, the stacker plugin has been useful to decrease lag. I like the concept, but have one issue with it, that being, that Guardians stack. Any stacked mobs do not seem to take fall damage, which means that some guardian farms are broken. I would like to see the stacker plugin removed from Guardians, so I do not have to come up a fix for my farm that may cause more lag. The fix for my farm would require a 64x64 area of lava, which wastes time, and causes more lag

    Thanks,
    ~Tango

Have you considered trying to add a crusher? It can autokill stacks essentially, as a new mob from the stack spawns with 1 hp and no invincibility ticks.

You could also have a manual kill so you can get more drops with something like a Crate Hoarder. Not sure about all stacks of mobs but they do take fall damage and the whole stack dies. Keep in mind, guardians have to drop a long way to die.

And you could put them on slabs then put lava and since theres a slab the drops will still be fine.

True, but a crusher with my setup would now work due to the size of my farm. The drop platform that they fall on is like 64x64. If I did go with lava, there would be more lag then killing them by fall damage because their AI causes them to jump everywhere when out of water. That would be the main reason that I would like stacker for the Guardians to be removed/

Have webs under lava to stop them from jumping around.

Great Idea! but there is still one issue. The farm that I build produces many guardians in a short period of time. When guardians stack in lava, their health is reset. So the guardians would not die for a long period of time.

My guardian uses a slimeblock elevator and crusher as an auto-kill:

I do it like this: I put them in a hole then every 5 seconds lava comes out then goes back in and it keeps doing it until they die... (I get a lot of drops so it works well)

I would like to thank everybody for their suggestions. With the first pre-release of Minecraft 1.10 out, I have come up with a fix for my farm that allows most of the guardians to die from fall damage. If a stack falls, using the new magma block in 1.10, I can kill off the stacks more quickly. I am no longer looking for suggestions for my farm. This thread is now closed.

    Thanks to all, ~
