Noble's Update(s) on The End: Source: https://www.noble-craft.net/community/threads/a-means-to-an-endo.5726/ Summary: The End has opened on a Sunday afternoon: May 1st, 2016. Before this, 10 NEW Legendary Item Cases (containing the new 1.9 items) and Keys to open them were dropped by OP NobleProductions at /spawn. Shortly after this event, it was announced in-game that The End would be opened, and had 15 minutes to prepare. Currently, the End portals are still disabled, but warps were made to reach The End. The most popular warp being used to get there is /warp endo, made by Exec Sweetz /warp end. The first dragon has been slain, and after a short, intensive battle, Exec SJ_Staudt became the proud owner (or should I say, "mother) of the Dragon Egg (for 1.9). Several dragon re-summons and battles have opened up more gateways to teleport to the End Islands. Multiple explorations with players in different directions, only to find that any chorus tree you see is OUTSIDE of the border (like a kid tied to a chair in front the cookie jar, filled with his/her favorite cookies). To resummon the dragon, place 4 End Crystals on the bedrock portal, in the center of the 4 sides. Defeating these re-summoned dragons will NOT drop a Dragon Egg. These are portals generated in a ring around the bedrock End portal, every time the Ender Dragon is defeated. Up to a max of 20 can be generated. An enderpearl thrown in the portal will take you to the End Islands. See: http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/End_gateway_portal Spoiler: What is a Chorus Tree? It is a new 1.9 plant generated in The End. Like a tree, its branches spread out in random directions, making it hard to create a farm design to control its shape. See http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Chorus_Plant Spoiler: What are Chorus Flowers? These are the "seeds" required to regrow the trees. They can be broken with any tool (including your hand), and will drop themselves. The flower must be directly broken, and will not drop if you break the tree it is on. To grow the plants, place the flower on an Endstone block. Blocks or water next to them will cause it to break, but not drop. See http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Chorus_Flower Spoiler: What are Chorus Fruits? These are dropped when the Chorus plants are broken. Chorus plants only drop 0-1 of these fruits. When eaten, it will restore 4 Hunger and 2.4 hunger saturation, and teleport you in a random direction within 8 blocks along each axis. Spoiler: What is in the new Legendary Item Cases? They are currently removed the from the store to add in the new ones. Additional Information/Events: The End's central island is now protected (no one can build or mine). The End Islands, however, are still unprotected. The first Elytra has been found and is now owned by Mod Shrekster. People who have found the ship after seem to have dismantled it. More warps have been made! Here's a couple: /warp end_south, /warp end_road. If you have any I should add, comment below, and I will update this list. Currently trying to make safer bridges and adding warps in each direction. Admin nedthefed, aka Tom, recently "found" a chorus plant inside the border, in which we had 7-10 minutes to find it. Some got close, but failed. The Chorus plant has now been cut off via WorldEdit. Now we await for the next "hunt." /god and /fly are disabled. /god heals you instead. The Shooting Star and /pet (bat) may be used to travel around. If I do get a Chorus Flower before anyone has, I will regrow it, acquire more seeds, and share it with the rest for free (I already have a farm ready, been waiting ages for this). I believe in the idea that everyone should enjoy these items and have the ability to build with the new blocks. I cannot wait to see some fantastic builds using the new blocks! WHAT!!! I didn't know this!! Why didn't NobleProductions post this! What! Elytra! I need one! :O I wanna defeat the ender dragon! how do I do it privately? ST_Staudt! Lucky! I want the egg! I want on ;-; ;-;
I too pledge to share the chorus wealth! Also I believe Shrek got Elytra through the rare vote crates and using them flew around and found the ship, where he got a dragon head. I may be wrong on this...
No one has the Elytra from the crates. He found it from the End Ship, using the bat pet to get up there.
I would like to point out that there were already two dragon eggs before this, owned by I believe Shrekster and KnottyZander.
I still don't understand why nibbles doesn't expand the end. Unless.... omg maybe he is secretly eating Tom's chocolate in there!!!!! I was supposed to be the one who eat's Tom's chocolate!!! >
As someone who loves knowing everything about everything in game related, this post is absolutely fantastic. Nice work Aeroxas!
Here's a small update for you. Judging by his patterns, these "hunts" will be on a daily basis, which I can only assume will end once someone actually finds it. I make this prediction because he did that Monday, along with yesterday. I can only assume he'll do it again today.
