Hey guys not trying to start drama or anything, just a suggestion. Anyways, I think I'd be a good idea to keep it 1.8 and too not convert it into 1.9. I agree with this personally but here's why I disagree. How many times have you seen a player say "Why can't I put anything in my shield slot?" or "Liars, the server isn't in 1.9 cuz you can't duel wield."? Sooner we upgrade to 1.9, sooner less confusion arises.
No clue why you decided to use an external link for a poll when the forums support the creation of polls. Change happens. Generally speaking, sometimes you don't like change. Unfortunately in this world you can either adapt or get left behind. So by the server not adapting to 1.9, it will get left behind as every other server slowly upgrades to 1.9. There's some servers that are already full 1.9 and they work wonderful. Upgrading to 1.9 will also reduce the number of hack clients available to the servers 'silent' users.
staying 1.8 is a bad idea, people may hate it now but in 2 months time we'll all get used to it. Plus the majority of servers are 1.9 now, and it would be really annoying to have to exit minecraft and rejoin just so you can switch servers. If you dislike this you are a nub who doesn't know how to run a server, or any business like thingie *cough* WestCoast_PvP *cough*
