After talking about the current Survival server with Jess and Noble, we were unable to decide whether or not we wanted to create another Survival server, but with an exponentially-lower amount of convoluted features.

Here are the problems that we want to solve;
  • There are quite a few overpowered items, primarily from the drop parties
  • New players and old players can't really empathize with one another (while one is hiding in caves, looking for food, the other is flying around with godmode)
  • Many features are complex, and even staff members can be confused
  • There is only a "Survival" aspect if you turn off fly/godmode or never have it in the first place
With a new Survival server that is stripped down to the core gamemode that shares its name, we can solve these issues and ensure that players can willingly choose whatever mode they want to immerse themselves into.

Currently I have been working very hard to implement a Network-wide change where players have the opportunity to show off their skill and have something to work towards. We decided the best way to do this was a experience level!

Currently levels are cosmetic and just something to work towards but we are working hard to implement bonuses for people with high levels!

You can only level up on survival and plots by mining ores as is currently stands. You will be rewarded for what you mine every 5 minutes. Only the ores and a few other blocks will reward you. If you place ores you will lose EXP to avoid exploiters. We are also working towards implementing EXP for slaying certain mobs also.

Levels are based on the amount of EXP you have, this doesn’t reset as you work your way up because it is going to take a massive 795,025 EXP to get to the top rank (level 150). If players are achieving top end levels, we will add even more!
